Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking a full-time Structural Engineering Project Manager for our New England branch.

The role covers project management of structural design and rehabilitation projects across New Hampshire and Maine, with offices in Portsmouth, NH, Bedford, NH, Salem, NH, and Portland, ME. You will lead a team of engineers, coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies, and drive performance on multiple bridge projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in NH or ME required.
• 8 to 20+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with state DOTs, transportation agencies, and New England municipalities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• NHI/FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (preferred).
• NHI/FHWA Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges (preferred).
• NH DOT, MaineDOT, and MTA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all aspects of bridge design and rehabilitation projects.
• Independently coordinate the work of engineers and balance the project delivery team throughout the entire project's development.
• Be integrated with marketing and proposal development, contractual matters, design, and production meetings.
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct work sessions for design development and contract documents in conjunction with staff from other technical disciplines.
• Coordinate workload throughout project development and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
• Track and manage project budgets.
