Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. — Civil West office in Tempe, AZ — is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a range of projects from urgent facility needs to long-term Job Order Contracts.

You will lead project teams, manage safety programs, and ensure delivery against design, budget and schedule. Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years of construction leadership experience, strong knowledge of construction practices, and a proven ability to collaborate with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
• Demonstrated safety culture experience via health, safety, and environment principles.
• Knowledge of construction materials, specs, methods, codes, and QA practices.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management to manage budgets and schedules.
• Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Provide contract administration, technical expertise, and project support.
• Develop and implement the project safety plan and lead health and safety practices.
• Ensure project is constructed per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
• Understand client drivers and propose value engineering for functionality and cost.
• Manage project performance and provide status reports on safety, cost, and schedule.
• Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, progress payments, and monitor them.
• Understand and enforce the contract documents.
• Participate in project commissioning and closeout.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects.
