Job summary

NOOTER is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to develop detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates for industrial and commercial construction projects. You will review drawings, specs, and bid packages, perform quantity takeoffs, and evaluate vendor quotations while collaborating with project management, engineering, procurement, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years estimating experience in mechanical construction.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with vendor pricing, supplier quotes, and subs input.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid packages to develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate quotations from vendors and subs.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and collaborate with PMs, engineers, procurement, and operations.
• Analyze market conditions, assess risks, and prepare competitive bid proposals to support project awards.
