Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains Nashville invites compassionate chaplains to serve employees and their families at client sites. As frontline ministry staff, you will share faith, provide spiritual support, and represent the ministry’s mission with integrity.

Visits are usually weekly, offering pastoral conversations, crisis support, and referral coordination. A Christian lifestyle and background in ministry are expected, with a focus on confidentiality and compassionate care across diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in an interfaith setting.
• Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills with clients and families.
• Spiritual maturity and Christian lifestyle aligned with ministry values.
• Diplomacy, patience, and courtesy with diverse groups; strong customer service.
• Ability to document accurately according to standards; maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient with technology (Google Suites, MS Office, email, web apps).
• Valid state driver's license and auto insurance for servicing clients.

Responsibilities

• Visit company worksites weekly to build trust and friendship.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues.
• Assist in funeral planning and grief support.
• Coordinate referrals for specialized employee assistance.
• Support notifications of death and serious injuries to families.
• Provide post-termination care to ease transitions.
• Engage in employee orientation about Employee Care Service.
• Respond to executive leadership requests within agreement scope.
