Job summary

IFB Solutions in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an Experienced Employee Support/Social Services Representative to work with the Benefits Manager and internal resources to assist employees with personal, financial, health-related, and benefit needs.

You will educate staff on workplace benefits such as FMLA, ADA, core benefits, and community resources; build trusting relationships while maintaining confidentiality; assist with navigating SSI/SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare and other programs; and participate in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or equivalent combination.
• Minimum 2 years in social work, case management, or employee assistance.
• Knowledge of state and federal benefit programs (SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, FMLA, ADA).
• Experience with individuals who are blind, low vision, or have disabilities preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with employees while maintaining confidentiality.
• Educate employees on workplace benefits and programs such as FMLA, ADA, core benefits, and resources.
• Assist employees with understanding and navigating SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare and other programs.
• Participate in training and professional development to expand benefits knowledge.
• Research outside resources for healthcare, housing, transportation, food, and other needs.
• Assist with challenges like understanding correspondence and forms, organizing information, and referrals.
• Support special projects for Social Services and Employee Resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records following procedures.
