Orion Placement seeks an Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate Attorney to join our New York team. You will advise clients on benefit plans, retirement programs, and compensation arrangements, drafting and negotiating plan documents and related agreements.

You will research ERISA, tax, and regulatory requirements, support corporate transactions, and collaborate with senior attorneys to craft practical, compliant solutions for sophisticated business clients.

Qualifications

• Active New York Bar admission required.
• 2+ years of employee benefits, ERISA, or executive compensation legal experience.
• Experience advising on employee benefit plans, retirement plans, health and welfare plans, or executive compensation arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Advise businesses on employee benefit and executive compensation matters.
• Assist with retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and compensation design/administration.
• Research ERISA, tax, and regulatory requirements affecting employee benefits and compensation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate plan documents and related agreements.
• Support benefits and executive compensation matters in corporate transactions, including M&A.
• Collaborate with attorneys to develop practical solutions to complex issues.

Compensation:

$260,000 to $390,000 annually, based on experience, plus discretionary bonus eligibility.

• Experience advising on employee benefit plans, retirement plans, health and welfare plans, or executive compensation arrangements.
• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Experience with ERISA compliance, equity compensation, deferred compensation, or transactional benefits matters is highly valued.
