Candidates have 3+ years of experience, strong drafting and client-facing skills, and must hold active US bar admission.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of substantive Employee Benefits, ERISA or related experience.
• Experience advising employers, plan sponsors or fiduciaries on employee benefits matters.
• Background in qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefits, executive compensation and/or transactional employee benefits.
• Strong drafting, analytical and client-facing capabilities.
• Experience gained within an established national, regional or specialist law firm.
• Active bar admission in a relevant US jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advising employers and plan sponsors on qualified retirement plans, including 401(k), pension and defined contribution arrangements.
• Providing guidance on ERISA, Internal Revenue Code and related IRS and DOL regulatory requirements.
• Assisting with plan design, drafting, administration, amendments and compliance matters.
• Advising on fiduciary responsibilities, plan governance and regulatory corrections, including EPCRS and DOL correction programmes.
• Handling health and welfare plan matters, including HIPAA, COBRA and ACA compliance.
• Supporting employee benefits aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and post-transaction integration.
• Working directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues across the firm's broader corporate, tax and employment practices.

The team advises a diverse client base, including major corporations, employers, plan sponsors and fiduciaries, on sophisticated employee benefits, retirement plan and regulatory compliance matters.

The Role
