Job summary

Henderson Brothers in Pittsburgh is seeking an Account Manager to support a book of small employer accounts (2-50 employees) within the Employee Benefits division, collaborating with the Senior Consultant and team members to deliver health and welfare initiatives.

This hybrid role emphasizes proactive client service, communication, and program management, with a focus on benefit plans and regulatory compliance. Bachelor’s degree and relevant licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Life, Accident, and Health license preferred; must obtain within 90 days post hire.
• At least 1 year of employee benefits account management or HR experience with a benefits focus.
• CEBS, GBA, PHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP designation preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of employee health and welfare plans.
• Clear understanding of life, accident and health insurance policies and policy management.
• Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in office, 2 days from home.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing service needs of client accounts in a proactive and effective manner.
• Create high quality and timely work products and client deliverables.
• Co-develop and manage client strategic plans and initiatives in health and welfare areas.
• Lead program and vendor implementations and ongoing program management.
• Develop concise communication materials for clients.
• Research and resolve escalated client issues or questions.
• Maintain knowledge of benefit plans and regulatory compliance via meetings and education.
