Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System seeks an Employee Assistance Counselor (EAC) to join the Social Work Services on the Mount Sinai Hospital campus. The EAC will deliver short-term counseling and referral services to faculty, staff, and their families, while supporting program operations and training initiatives.

The role requires NYS LMSW, prior EAP experience preferred, and strong communication and organizational skills. A hybrid work model is in place to balance on-site and remote duties.

Qualifications

• NYS LMSW required.
• Prior EAP experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity for critical thinking and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide short term counseling and referral services for faculty, staff, and family members.
• Conduct assessments, formulate service plans, and refer clients as needed.
• Develop internal/external resources and collaborate with care providers.
• Collaborate with key organizational stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety plans.
• Manage EA operations during PTO/leave absences.
• Develop educational programs and promotional materials for EA services.
