Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Social Worker (Employee Assistance Counselor) to support the Employee Assistance Program across the Mount Sinai Hospital campus in a hybrid on-site/remote model. The role focuses on short-term counseling, crisis support, and training for managers, supervisors, and staff, with collaboration across HR, EHS, LR and nursing teams.

Qualifications

• Must be NYS LMSW credentialed.
• Prior Employee Assistance Program experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and critical thinking.
• Organizational and clinical knowledge relevant to workplace problems.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Minimum one year in current position.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term counseling and referrals for faculty, staff, and families.
• Conduct assessments and formulate service plans with appropriate referrals.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with care providers and stakeholders.
• Participate in training programs and educational activities related to EA services.
• Maintain confidential case records and reports.
• Assist with program operations and respond to urgent situations.
