Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is seeking a qualified Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselor to support employees and their families. You will assess referrals, provide brief counseling, coordinate referrals, and maintain documentation to maximize well-being and maintain a safe, productive workplace.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, consultation with HR and managers, delivery of training, and expansion of EAP services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling/psychology, or marriage & family therapy.
• Georgia license in Social Work (LCSW), Georgia License in Professional Counseling (LPC), or LMFT.
• 2–4 years’ experience providing adults mental health care in multiple areas.
• Credentialed or eligible for Employee Assistance Professional certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments for employees and dependents referred to the EAP.
• Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention; refer and follow up on referrals.
• Consult with HR, Employee Health, and supervisors; coach leaders on referrals to EAP.
• Plan and deliver education/training sessions; represent Workplace EAP to groups.
• Assist in expanding EAP operations and participate in related duties.
