Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock is seeking an Employee Assistance Counselor to provide counseling services to assigned clients and support the wellbeing of employees and students.

The role involves delivering clinical services through the EAP and PAS programs, addressing personal and interpersonal concerns, and maintaining accurate documentation in the EPIC system. This is a part-time evening position in a university healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health field and Texas licensure to provide mental health counseling services.
• Experience working with children and with couples.
• Clinical experience and/or specialized training in mental health counseling.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case‑by‑case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change‑of‑status or change‑of‑employer petitions for qualifying positions.
