Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an EMPI Specialist to maintain the Enterprise Master Patient Index and ensure a single, accurate patient record across the system.

In this role, you will analyze queues, identify duplicates, and perform chart corrections under established policies. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to maintain data integrity and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Health Information Management, Health, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• RHIA/RHIT credentials are a plus and Epic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the integrity of the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI).
• Analyses work queues to identify records to merge or correct.
• Performs chart corrections and EMPI maintenance to ensure one unique patient record.
• Communicates with internal/external customers to resolve duplicate records and chart issues.
• Adheres to policies and guidelines, with attention to patient safety and data accuracy.
