Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking Patient Services Representatives (PSRs) in Waterville, ME to serve as patient advocates, access specialists and service coordinators.

As a PSR, you will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments and enter registration data, acting as a liaison between doctors, labs and patients to keep care flowing smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, answer phones and perform clerical duties to support clinical departments
• Schedule appointment times using computerized scheduling programs
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain precertification/authorization as needed
• Collect payments (co-pays/deductibles) and refer to financial counselors when needed
• Enter demographic, billing and clinical information accurately in the registration system
• Act as liaison between doctors, labs and patients to ensure smooth coordination
