Interim HealthCare of Scranton, Pennsylvania is seeking School-Based Intervention Specialists for the 2026-2027 school year to support students in Lackawanna County.

The position follows the school calendar with weekends, holidays unpaid, and summers off; pay ranges from $22 to $24 per hour. Benefits include PTO up to 48 hours per year, weekly pay, direct deposit, referral bonuses, and a supportive local team. The role supports crisis response and collaboration with teachers and behavioral staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year working with children or young adults with behavioral, emotional, and/or personal care needs.
• Ability to remain calm and take initiative during high-stress situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to commit to one full school year.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students with emotional and behavioral needs.
• Monitor and support during crisis situations in the classroom.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote student safety.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, aides, and behavioral staff.
• Support the student’s daily routines, including academics, transitions, and behavioral goals.
