Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a candidate for research and development in AI, IoT, AR/VR, and digital twins. You will work with IT, product teams, and security to evaluate tools, develop POV solutions, and deploy in the private cloud. You’ll write, test, and maintain simple applications under supervision to meet business needs.

The role requires 1–2 years in programming and IoT, plus energy sector exposure is a plus. Travel up to 25% and a bachelor’s degree in a related field are expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years programming and systems analysis experience.
• 1–2 years IoT implementations experience.
• 1–2 years AR/VR experience preferred.
• 6+ months energy sector experience preferred.
• Experience with databases and programming languages like Python/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop POV solutions with emerging tech in a sandbox.
• Evaluate commercial solutions for function, tech, and risk.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate new tech into workflows.
• Code, test, deploy, and maintain modular solutions.
• Ensure security, performance and reliability of emergent solutions.
