Dominion Energy is seeking a candidate for research and development in AI, IoT, AR/VR, and digital twins. You will work with IT, product teams, and security to evaluate tools, develop POV solutions, and deploy in the private cloud. You’ll write, test, and maintain simple applications under supervision to meet business needs.
The role requires 1–2 years in programming and IoT, plus energy sector exposure is a plus. Travel up to 25% and a bachelor’s degree in a related field are expected.

Candidate willbe involved in research and development activities related to Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Digital Twins. This includes working closely with IT architects, Product teams, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Cyber Intelligence and Security teams to evaluate new tools and technologies, develop proof of value (POV) solutions, and implement solutions within Dominion Energy’s private cloud environment. Under general supervision, assists in writing and maintaining simple applications and performs limited systems design. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs to meet business requirements.

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:
$81,900 - $106,400
The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location. This is not intended to represent the full salary range for the position or limit future compensation growth.
