Dominion Energy in Richmond, Virginia seeks an experienced AI-focused software engineer to lead GenAI initiatives within our private cloud. You will work with IT architects, product teams, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Cyber Intelligence to evaluate tools, build POVs, and implement AI capabilities across systems.
The role emphasizes design, coding, testing, and mentoring, with a hybrid schedule and travel up to 25%.

Candidate will be involved in AI related research and development activities. This includes working closely with IT architects, ITBA Product teams, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Cyber Intelligence and Security teams to evaluate new tools and technologies, develop proof of value (POV) solutions, and implement AI solutions within Dominion Energy ’ s private cloud environment. Provides technical consulting and/or leadership on complex projects. Serves as technical expert in one or more areas of applications systems analysis and software development. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents code. Works companywide in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments. Acts as a project work team or group leader. Guides and advises less experienced Software Engineers.

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:
$116,300 - $151,100
The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location. This is not intended to represent the full salary range for the position or limit future compensation growth.
