Job summary

Acuity Inc. offers a two-year BUILD rotational leadership program in Des Plaines, IL.

Participants rotate every six months through Distribution Planning, BSF Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Focused Factory, gaining hands-on experience across Supply Chain disciplines. You will work with experienced colleagues on distribution projects, trade compliance, customer experience, and advanced manufacturing engineering, while building business acumen, leadership, and professional skills through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Demonstrated interest in process improvement, continuous improvement, or operational excellence
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to evaluate operational data, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%
• Less than two years of related work experience is highly preferred
• Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes is highly preferred
• Collaborative and team-oriented with initiative is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Participate in Acuity Inc.’s two-year BUILD rotational leadership program
• Rotate to a different functional area every six months
• Work on Supply Chain Distribution projects alongside experienced colleagues
• Rotate through Distribution Planning, BSF Engineering and Continuous Improvement, and Focused Factory
• Gain exposure to Trade Compliance Operations, Customer Experience, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
• Build business acumen, functional expertise, and professional skills
• Participate in specialized onboarding, mentorship, networking, peer collaboration, and leadership report-out meetings
• Evaluate operational data, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements
• Potentially relocate temporarily to another Acuity site for some rotations
