Responsibilities

1. Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Responsible for managing front end of the store and making recommendations on the overall operations of the Pharmacy and Retail Store.
2. Supports Store Manager with overall store operations to achieve company goals; works alternate schedule with the Store Manager; assumes responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager; ensures proper merchandising, protection of assets, and improves sales and profitability.
3. Leads and manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline to ensure team engagement and performance.
4. Customer Experience: Engages customers, resolves complaints, models customer service best practices, and improves customer service metrics.
5. Operations: Supervises store operation, assigns daily activities, manages inventory, collaborates with external partners, and ensures compliance with policies and laws.
6. Business Performance Management: Analyzes data, creates action plans, and supports store growth initiatives.
7. People & Performance Management: Leads and trains team members, manages performance, and builds talent pipelines.
8. Training & Personal Development: Completes required training, seeks feedback, and maintains necessary licenses.
9. Communications: Maintains open communication with team, plans strategies, and ensures clarity of store goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, or completion of Walgreens Community Internship Program, or High School Diploma/GED with supervisory experience.
• Leadership skills, business ethics, self-motivation, and good communication.
• Completion of Store Manager training (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials within 12 weeks.
• Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Flexible schedule, willingness to relocate or transfer as needed.
