Job summary

Walmart in Belén, NM is seeking a Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations, build high-performing teams, and execute company strategies across merchandising, staffing, and customer experience. You will supervise associates, coach leadership, and drive results in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes driving sales, managing budgets, optimizing inventory, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming store atmosphere. Evening and weekend shifts may be required to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, CBC and Firearms Training may be required.
• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University is a preferred qualification.
• Associates will be required to attend and complete trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door).

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams by teaching, training and feedback.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and drives store initiatives.
• Manages budget, forecasting, and expenses to meet sales and profit goals.
• Supervises and develops hourly associates, assigns duties, and maintains staffing levels.
• Coordinates store operations, merchandising, and community programs with stakeholders.
