Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking professionals to support Self-Perform Work (SPW) on complex construction projects. You will collaborate with SPW crews, project management teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure scope, schedules, and quality standards are met.

You will monitor productivity, track materials, and help implement improved SPW processes and best practices. Prior experience in SPW and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and submittals for SPW scopes, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project and crew requirements.
• Collaborates with SPW project managers, superintendents, and project teams to resolve standard technical questions related to self-perform scopes of work.
• Monitors SPW activity schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances to support timely corrective actions for self-perform operations based on established guidelines.
• Supports the implementation of standard SPW-specific quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all phases of self-perform work.
• Prepares and maintains detailed SPW project documentation, including daily SPW crew reports, time and material logs, equipment usage records, and field change documentation.
• Identifies opportunities for incremental improvements in SPW processes and contributes to the development of leading practices with guidance.
• Actively participates in SPW coordination meetings and communicates field progress, production rates, and any issues to SPW crews, project managers, and other stakeholders.
