Job summary

Plexus Corp. is seeking an ambitious Manufacturing Leadership Intern in Idaho to gain hands-on experience in leading production teams and improving processes. You will support scheduling, resource planning, and quality adherence while working under experienced leaders to develop your skills.

The internship focuses on applying lean manufacturing principles, KPI tracking, and development-focused team leadership, with compensation based on geographic location and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications require a student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or related field for the entire duration of internship.
• Knowledge of lean and six sigma concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of production schedules based on financial forecasts, customer commitments, and capacity analysis.
• Utilize factory resource reviews to assure sufficient human and equipment resources exist to meet customer and site business objectives.
• Assure that product and process quality is compliant to internal, industry and customer quality standards.
• Drive production KPIs at their assigned area.
• Implement and utilize lean manufacturing principles.
• Communicate with production associates, production leads, operations managers, on a routine basis to ensure that production goals are being met.
• Lead teams with a focus on development.
