Job summary

Plexus Corp in Nampa, Idaho is seeking an Industrial Engineering intern to design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing production processes, including layout design, quality control and material flow.

You will implement lean manufacturing solutions, support capacity planning, draft equipment layouts, analyze production data and generate performance reports under engineers and production staff.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering for the duration of the internship.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Draftsite.
• Experience with Google Apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide lean manufacturing solutions for customer or process specific production such as lead time reduction, single piece flow & pull systems.
• Support Short & Long range capacity Planning such as Kinaxis Rapid Response Capacity Software
• Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
• Study operations sequence, material flow, and project information to optimize manufacturing operations.
• Analyze production data (cycle times, flow) to identify inefficiencies.
• Generate performance reports and visualizations.
• Execute your ideas and solutions with engineers and production staff through influential leadership
• Modify & improve workstations & Material Deployment solutions to optimize production work cells.
