Job summary

Plexus Corp. is seeking a Production Management Intern to join our team in Lincolnshire, IL. You will support the Production Manager and factory supervisors in daily leadership, focus on product quality, on-time delivery, and overall factory efficiency.

You will gain hands-on experience with KPI tracking, lean initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration while reporting to site leadership. This internship is non-exempt and location-based, with a pay range depending on geography and experience.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Junior level status or higher; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• PCB Assembly processes (SMT), Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects or teams.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Production Management daily leadership and oversight.
• Support KPI tracking, OTD, scrap reduction, and yield reporting.
• Participate in production planning and capacity analysis.
• Assist Lean projects and 6S improvement on the production floor.
• Coordinate training and cross-training of manufacturing teams.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are followed.
