Job summary

Plexus Corp. is offering a Production Management Internship in the United States. You will support production managers and supervisors in daily leadership, with emphasis on quality, on-time delivery, and factory efficiency.

The role provides hands-on experience in high‑intensity manufacturing and exposure to LEAN practices. The internship targets students pursuing a Bachelor’s in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills for data analysis, forecasting, and capacity analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis approaches.
• Clear written and verbal communication across team members and management.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced manufacturing environments and changing priorities.
• Knowledge of lean and six sigma concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support KPI tracking for OTD, scrap reduction, yield, and productivity.
• Assist in daily/weekly production planning and capacity analysis.
• Attend operations meetings and shift handoffs to understand needs and equipment status.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, quality checks, and equipment status.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure production goals are met consistently.
• Support LEAN initiatives and 6S improvements on the factory floor.
• Assist RCCA investigations for defects and nonconformities.
• Shadow management to learn staffing and cross-training progress.
