Job summary

UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital seeks a Program Assistant Supervisor to oversee a team of 10 direct care professionals within a 14-bed residential program for adults with serious mental health conditions. You will support daily operations and ensure quality, compassionate care in a coordinated setting.

The role includes staff training, scheduling, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, while developing treatment goals with families and teams. On-site mentorship supports your leadership growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND 1 year related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of theories, principles, and techniques related to services provided.
• Familiarity with medication monitoring practices.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Support program operations by supervising staff training, onboarding, supervision, scheduling, payroll, and on-call coverage.
• Help ensure regulatory compliance through record views, documentation oversight, licensing support, and monthly reporting.
• Monitor budgets, maintain training records, and support administrative functions to promote efficient program operations.
• Build collaborative relationships with consumers, families, treatment teams, and community partners while supporting individualized treatment goals.
• Provide direct consumer support, including therapeutic activities, referrals, admissions/discharges, case management, and transportation as needed.
