Job summary

Voith US Inc. is seeking a Field Service Manager in Houston, TX to lead and execute field service operations for rotating equipment. You will mentor technicians, oversee scheduling, safety, and service quality while interfacing with customers to ensure satisfaction.

The role blends hands-on engineering with leadership, requiring strong communication and project management skills. Travel up to 70% within North America, with occasional international assignments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of field service experience in rotating equipment or related industries.
• Proven leadership ability with field crews or service teams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with gear units, couplings, turbines or pumps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer-facing.
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Examine, inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, reassemble, overhaul rotating equipment.
• Perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, startup support.
• Lead complex field service assignments and mentor field personnel.
• Coordinate scheduling, resource planning, and service forecasting.
• Manage customer escalations and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.
