Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Energy to support complex energy projects in the Chino Hills, CA area.

This on-site role collaborates with field teams, project teams, and customers, driving document review, proposals, change orders, and submittals to keep projects on track. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical construction or related field, strong MS Excel and scheduling skills (MS Project/Primavera), and a proactive mindset to learn and mentor others

Qualifications

• Education and experience required to support project management tasks.
• Experience supervising or guiding others on semi-remote jobsites preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical construction and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead team meetings and provide guidance to Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager and field team.
• Partners with scheduling department to gather all data required to populate CEI schedule.
• Identifies cost impacts associated with RFIs, submittals, and design changes and provides timely notification.
• Prices change orders consistently and in a timely manner for project manager review and approval.
• Manages close out documents.
• Coordinate commissioning activities w/ 3rd party. Tracks and follows up on open items.
• Maintain strong working partnerships with vendors and subcontractors. Coordinates accurate material releases on time and consistent with project documents. Track material releases, changes and coordinate delivery with construction schedule.
