Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Early Career Building Mechanical Engineer for our Philadelphia, PA office. You will contribute to mechanical system design, energy performance analysis, and project documentation across commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects.

You will collect and analyze data, assist with HVAC and plumbing design, and support coordination with codes and standards. The role emphasizes learning, safety compliance, and teamwork within the Property and Buildings team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0 to 1 years of Building Engineer post education experience.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data related to mechanical building systems and codes.
• Assist with design of HVAC, plumbing, and building mechanical systems.
• Develop mechanical calculations for loads, sizing, and energy performance under supervision.
• Generate documentation using drawings, electronic systems, and logs.
• Ensure safety guidelines and project procedures are followed.
