Job summary

WSP USA in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Early Career Building Mechanical Engineer to join our Property and Buildings Team. You will assist in designing and coordinating mechanical building systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and higher education projects.

Under supervision, you will collect data, perform basic HVAC and plumbing design tasks, size equipment, and contribute to energy analyses while learning codes, standards, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data related to mechanical building systems.
• Assist with designing HVAC, plumbing, and building mechanical systems under supervision.
• Develop mechanical calculations for heating and cooling loads, ventilation requirements, and energy performance.
• Generate documentation using drawings and field notes, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Support site verification, testing, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to company policies.
