Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Emergent Repair Engineer to advance repair methods for onshore and offshore wind turbines. The role emphasizes 70% documentation and 30% testing/validation, collaborating with Repair Development, Deployment Leaders, PMs, and cross-functional teams to enable Service NPI.

You will design procedures, validate tooling, and ensure safety while meeting customer requirements, with travel up to 10% and a focus on hands-on repair experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering, operations, test, or manufacturing field.
• Ability and willingness to travel globally up to 10%.
• Proficiency with English both written and oral communication.
• Willingness to climb wind turbines and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate repair procedures meeting customer and business requirements.
• Prove out safety and functionality; communicate unknowns and risks clearly.
• Develop, test and validate repair/replacement procedures via models, prototyping and components.
• Identify requirements for process tooling and ensure safe installation, operation, and disassembly.
• Own the design of innovative repair solutions and adhere to engineering standards.
• Follow Design Review Process and quality standards to document repair procedures.
