Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Offshore Wind Technician to support field operations, maintain and repair wind turbine generators, and troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. The role requires collaboration with site leadership to meet contractual obligations and optimize turbine performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Wind Technician, 3+ years in hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting, and strong ability to read electrical schematics along with basic computer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a Wind Technician.
• Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Proven ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operational Execution: Partner with site leadership to execute daily contractual obligations and support all facets of site operations with minimal supervision.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, component replacement, and system repairs to resolve malfunctions.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues within mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, specifically for variable pitch and variable speed turbines.
• Electrical Analysis: Conduct diagnostic electrical analysis to optimize turbine performance.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all service activities using digital reporting procedures.
• Collaboration: Serve as a primary interface with the GE Remote Operations Center to coordinate troubleshooting and system updates.
