Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Offshore Wind Technician to maintain, repair, and optimize GE wind turbine generators. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, coordinating with site leadership, and ensuring contractual objectives are met across field operations.

Candidates should have 5+ years as a Wind Technician, with at least 3 years in hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years wind technician experience; 3+ years hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting.
• Leadership experience directing field teams.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals; knowledge of regulations.
• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Operational Execution: support daily contractual obligations with minimal supervision.
• Maintenance & Repair: perform routine maintenance, replace components, fix system malfunctions.
• Technical Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in turbines.
• Electrical Analysis: conduct diagnostic electrical analysis to optimize turbine performance.
• Reporting: keep accurate service activity records using digital tools.
• Collaboration: coordinate troubleshooting with GE Remote Operations Center.
