Job summary

VEG is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will perform triage, nursing care, anesthesia, diagnostics, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents through stressful moments.

Candidates should be CVT/RVT/LVT qualified with at least 1 year in a veterinary setting, including emergency or specialty medicine. You will work weekends and nights as needed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) in the state; VTS a plus.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Proficient with practice management software and EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and composure under pressure; team player.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in a noisy environment; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support in emergencies.
• Triaging, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, critical care nursing.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and other procedures.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure smooth care flow.
• Perform CPR and other advanced techniques when needed.
• Utilize diagnostics and imaging and manage samples.
