Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in California seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a front-line emergency team. You’ll handle cases from triage to critical care, supporting doctors and providing compassionate care to pets and their families.

Requirements include a AVMA-accredited credential (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) and 1+ year of ER or specialty experience. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are required, with competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a veterinary technician, preferably in emergency or specialty medicine.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) required; VTS a plus.
• Strong communication and calmness under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care, emotional support, and patient handling throughout hospitalization.
• Assist doctors and team to maintain smooth care flow and plan execution.
• Perform CPR and manage advanced techniques (IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions).
• Communicate effectively with team and pet parents.
