Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician or enrolled in VEG Credentialing Support Program.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role; emergency/specialty medicine preferred.
• Strong grasp of clinical workflow and team dynamics.
• Leadership instincts and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Keep pulse on patient status, team bandwidth, and shift-wide needs.
• Manage daily workflow and pivot during the unexpected.
• Assign and adapt shift roles with clarity and care.
• Intervene on the floor when needed; no task is too small.
• Coordinate breaks, resolve conflicts, and model calm under pressure.
• Lead shift transitions, huddles, and end-of-day wrap-ups.
• Communicate clearly, elevate key issues, and guide questions.
