Job summary

VEG is seeking a Veterinary Nursing Shift Lead to own shift rhythm and patient flow, ensuring top-tier care and empowered VEGgies. You will lead with heart, coaching on the floor, handling breaks, and coordinating coverage to maintain high standards of safety and service.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative ER environment with opportunities for mentorship, growth, and learning across clinical and leadership programs, including travel stipends for ER CE.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician or enrolled in VEG Credentialing Support Program preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role; experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clear pulse on patient status and shift-wide needs; manage daily workflow.
• Lead shift transitions, team huddles, and wrap-ups with clear communication.
• Support coaching and coverage to ensure safe, smooth operation on the floor.
