Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS) in East Greenwich, RI, is seeking a motivated Veterinary Medical Receptionist (CSR) to join our bustling emergency and specialty hospital. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, manage calls, schedule appointments, and support the medical team with compassionate, accurate service.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in emergency or specialty veterinary hospital preferred.
• Professional, pleasant communicator respectful to clients and referring veterinarians.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks in a high-paced setting.
• Computer experience (Word, Excel) and office equipment operation.
• Familiarity with veterinary software and CareCredit knowledge preferred.
• Basic math skills to determine deposits and process payments.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
• Manage incoming calls and inquiries, provide information and schedule appointments.
• Process client payments, billing, invoicing, and insurance claims.
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate patient intake and discharge with medical staff and clients.
• Maintain electronic medical records and ensure proper documentation.
