Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS) in East Greenwich, RI, seeks an experienced ECC Veterinary Technician for 2nd shift to join a fast-paced, advanced referral hospital with board-certified specialists and a collaborative care team.

You will work closely with emergency clinicians, provide critical nursing care, and participate in ongoing training and mentorship to grow skills in a high-volume setting.

Competenze

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency & Critical Care veterinary technician experience required.
• Veterinary Technician certification preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to lift and handle pets weighing 40+ pounds and remain active during shift.

Experienced ECC Veterinary Technician – 2nd Shift

Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS) is seeking a skilled ECC Veterinary Technician to join our talented 2nd shift team of emergency and specialty professionals who are deeply committed to exceptional patient care, client support, and collaboration. Our newly renovated ICU is equipped with advanced technology, including:

You’ll work with critically ill and emergent patients while utilizing advanced nursing skills such as advanced patient assessment, transfusion therapies, ventilator monitoring, placement and care of NG tubes and central lines, and much more.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency & Critical Care veterinary technician experience required
• Veterinary Technician certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a fast‑paced emergency setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care
• Ability to lift and handle pets weighing 40+ pounds and remain active throughout your shift

Schedule

This position is specifically for 2nd shift, providing critical patient care during some of the hospital’s busiest hours. As part of our 24/7 emergency and specialist care team, candidates should be available to work a weekend shift each week as well as rotating holidays.
