Ocean State Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Critical Care team in East Greenwich, RI. The role involves triage, monitoring, and providing care for critical patients overnight.

We offer a signing bonus up to $2,500, shift differential, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k). A CVT/LVT/RVT is preferred, with at least 3 years of recent practice experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vet tech program graduate or minimum 3 years recent veterinary practice.
• CVT/LVT/RVT certification preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for animal care and client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to critical and hospitalized patients.
• Triage incoming emergency cases and obtain detailed histories.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as needed.
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment (oxygen cages, telemetry, ventilators).
• Place and manage NG tubes, oxygen lines, central lines, catheters, etc.
• Monitor patients under sedation and general anesthesia.
