Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our experienced team. You will handle emergency cases, including surgeries and endoscopy, in a high-energy environment with access to mentorship and ongoing VEG Education programs.

Expect to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, with opportunities for growth, travel stipends, and leadership development. You will collaborate with a diverse team of veterinarians and technicians to deliver exceptional care for both common and exotic

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Emergency medicine experience in a fast-paced setting preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Handle emergent cases and perform/assist in surgeries.
• Conduct physical exams and interpret diagnostics (ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork).
• Develop diagnostic and treatment plans and discuss options with clients.
• Create and maintain medical records and estimates for clients.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventive measures.
• Provide leadership and mentorship on the hospital floor.
