Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Live and breathe emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Thrive in team-oriented environments with collaboration and mentorship.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg; work in a noisy, high-energy ER.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of VEG Triage and VEG Spikes approach.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exam findings.
• Perform examinations, imaging, labs, and biopsies as needed.
• Develop and communicate diagnostic and therapeutic plans to clients.
• Prepare and present estimates to clients.
• Document accurate medical records and ensure chart integrity.
• Explain test results and treatment options to clients.
