Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Greenville, SC seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join the front lines of emergency veterinary care. You will perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, collaborating with our doctors and team to deliver gold standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their families in their most stressful moments.

The role offers flexible night, weekend, and holiday shifts on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in veterinary technology is preferred.
• CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential required in the state of the VEG practice.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician, emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Strong communication and calmness under pressure; ability to multitask in a fast-paced ER.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood products, and diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate with team to shape care plans and maintain workflow.
• Perform CPR and other emergency procedures as trained.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Assist with anesthesia for fragile patients.
