Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You’ll handle cases from triage to discharge, delivering gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their families during stressful moments.

Ideal candidates will be CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT, with 1+ year of veterinary tech experience, including emergency medicine, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg. VEG offers flexible schedules and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited program preferred for degree.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in state where VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC/ANES a plus.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments.
• Perform triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
