Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Minnesota is hiring a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced ER team. You will assist doctors across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents during stressful moments.

You will grow your skills, work nights/weekends/holidays on a rotating basis, and contribute to delivering gold standard, compassionate care for both patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Requires AVMA‑accredited associate degree or higher in veterinary technology.
• Credential as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state is required.
• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience; emergency or specialty care preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR and practice software.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist doctors with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care.
• Handle meds, IVs, CRIs, transfusions and related procedures.
• Communicate clearly with team to maintain flow of care.
• Perform CPR when needed and support high‑quality emergency care.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Support anesthesia for diverse cases and use advanced tools as needed.
• Utilize central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds when appropriate.
