Job summary

The Veterinary Emergency Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians during triage, examinations, and treatments and to provide direct care for canine and feline patients. The role requires strong animal handling skills, reliability, and the ability to work weekends, evenings, and overnights.

Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, preparing surgical patients, performing lab work and imaging, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and client

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a veterinary technician.
• Experience with veterinary software (Neo, AVImark, Cornerstone).
• Ability to work regular weekends, evenings and/or overnights.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians during triage, examinations and treatments.
• Provide direct care to animal patients and restrain dogs/cats as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe facility with proper sanitizing protocols.
• Maintain medical records and prepare surgical patients.
• Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Provide client education and alert DVM to patient issues.
• Restock supplies and ensure proper diet and care for patients.
• Handle, lift and restrain animals safely for procedures.
