MedVet in the United States is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our overnight ER team. This fast-paced role offers constant variety and the chance to impact critically ill patients.

You will perform rounds, evaluate patients, assist DVMs, monitor anesthesia, run in-house labs, provide client education, and deliver nursing care to hospitalized patients. State-licensed technicians with ER experience are encouraged to apply; we offer competitive benefits and a

Formación

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Prior veterinary experience, especially in emergency care, preferred.
• Proficient in calculations and basic nursing tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work a fast-paced shift.

Responsabilidades

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather information as necessary.
• Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment.
• Partner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concerns.
• Provide client education including home care instructions and medications for hospitalized patients.
• Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and procedures.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing.
