Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will work alongside doctors and teammates in high-stakes environments, delivering rapid triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing to dogs, cats, and exotics as needed.

This role emphasizes empathy, skilled hands, and clear communication with pet parents. You will grow professionally through mentorship, ongoing ER CE, and exposure to cutting-edge

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVMT/LVT) in the state of practice
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technician roles, with emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure in fast-paced emergencies

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, diagnostics, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Support doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard, compassionate care for pets and clients
• Perform procedures including IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and advanced diagnostics as needed
• Communicate effectively with team and lead care coordination during emergencies
• Assist with CPR and high-stress critical events as part of the RECOVER framework
