Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group in Eden Prairie, MN seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Shift Lead) to guide a fast-paced shift. You will oversee patient care, coach the team, and ensure smooth operations while providing top-tier veterinary services.

Ideal candidates hold a valid CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential or are enrolled in VEG Credentialing Support Program, with 1+ year emergency veterinary experience and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credentialed or enrolled in VEG Credentialing Support Program.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician or assistant role; emergency experience preferred.
• Strong grasp of clinical workflow and team dynamics.
• Leadership instincts and ownership mindset; growth mindset.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Able to stand, lift up to 25 kg, work in a noisy environment with odors.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pulse on patient status, team bandwidth, and shift needs.
• Manage daily workflow and adapt when unexpected occurs.
• Assign and adjust shift roles with clarity and care.
• On-floor coaching and floor coverage as needed.
• Lead break coverage, conflict resolution, and shift transitions.
• Communicate clearly and elevate key issues to leadership.
